1478567 Switch indicators GLOBE-UNION Inc 29 April 1975 [13 May 1974] 17837/75 Heading H1N An indicator button for the actuating slider of an electric switch comprises a housing 18 Figs. 4, 5 attached to the slider 11 and carrying a lens 52 through which the ends of a flexible indicating strip 30 are visible. A holder 19 fixed relative to the switch face plate 14 on legs 20, 21 supports a guide 43 via springs 38, 39 whereby cooperating convex and concave faces 57, 58 on the guide 43 and lens 52 respectively guide the ends of the strip 30 which overlap when the button 18 is depressed to show a different colour or indicia. In a modification the strip 130 Fig. 12 is located over lugs 124 of a holder 119 and the retractive springs 138, 139 are separately located between recesses 141 in the housing 118 and projections 137 on the legs 120, 121 of the holder 119. Convex rounded sections 194, 197 of the housing 118 guide the ends 183, 184 of the strip 130 in cooperation with the concave face 158 of the lens 152, clipped in the housing by projections 153.
