摘要 1430026 Adjusting vehicle headlamps ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 8 June 1973 [10 June 1972 1 Sept 1972] 27369/73 Heading F4R The elevation of vehicle headlamps is reguated by an arrangement including a supporting frame encircling a reflector pivotally mounted about a horizontal shaft, and on which shaft a pivot lever attached to the reflector is rotatably received and an actuating lever is fixedly mounted, wherein the two levers are urged together by a spring such that rotation of the shaft in response to changes in the vehicle attitude effects a rotation of the reflector, and an adjusting screw threaded through one lever to engage the other determines the basic setting of the headlamp. As shown in Figs. 2 and 3, the pivot bearing 12 comprises a bearing block 22 which is secured to the supporting frame 10 fixed to the car body 17 and which carries a shaft 23 that is positively coupled for limited torsional movement by coupling 25 to a bar 26. The other end of shaft 23 nearest the reflector 11 is splined and engages a curved actuating lever 29 clamped thereto by screw 30. A pivot lever 31 rotatably mounted on the shaft 23 is connected at one end by a plate spring 33 to the reflector 11 and at the other end receives a threaded pin 35 which is connected by a flexible shaft or cable 36 to an adjusting screwhead 37. The end of pin 35 is maintained in permanent engagement against the actuating lever 29 by a spring 41 having legs 42, 43 that act to force the levers 29, 31 together to form a positively connected unit. Thus the inclination of the headlamp with respect to the horizontal axis 14 can be set by adjusting the screw 37 to effect a relative displacement of the levers 29, 31, and, independently, correction may be made for changes in the attitude of the car, e.g. due to loading, by rotational adjustments transmitted to the shaft 26. In a modification, Fig. 4 (not shown) a coupling member (47) is pivotably connected between a second lever arm (46) of the pivot lever 31 and the plate spring 33 which is pivotably mounted by a pin (49) in the supporting frame 10 to form an articulated quadrangle. In a further embodiment, Fig. 7, the light-beam range is regulated by a hydromechanical device 75 which moves one arm 74 of a lever 83 about a horizontal pivot axis, a second arm of the lever 83 being adjustably spaced by a bolt 107 from a pivot lever 93 connected to the reflector 98 but maintained in positive engagement therewith by a clip spring 103. Further modifications in the adjustable connections between the two levers are also described, Figs. 9, 10 (not shown). The headlamp arrangement may in addition be provided with a sliding block bearing 13, Fig. 5, in which the bearing pin 53 lying along the horizontal pivot axis of the headlamp is slidable in a horizontal plane along a guideway 54. Further sliding block embodiments, Figs. 6, 11 and 12 (not shown) are described.
