1369136 Bolting A FISCHER 4 April 1973 [6 April 1972] 16146/73 Heading F2H A first member 1, e.g. a door frame or window frame, is fixed to a second member 2, e.g. a wall, by a fastener comprising a screw 3 with a sleeve 5 axially located on its shank for rotation relative thereto, the screw being securable in the member 2 and the sleeve being rigidly securable in the member 1. An internal lip 9 at one end of the sleeve 5 engages a peripheral groove 10 in the screw shank, a longitudinal slit 12 in that end of the sleeve allowing the lip to be sprung open radially as the screw is inserted into the sleeve. The sleeve length equals the distance between the screw head 4 and the groove 10. The sleeve may be screwed into the member 1 (Fig. 1) using a screwdriver slot 11, or it may have a head 13 and a nut 14 (Fig. 3) between which the member 1 is gripped. The screw engages a wall plug 7 in the member 2. |
