<p>A membrane filter has a pressure vessel with an inlet for feed and outlets for permeate and concentrate. The membranes are supported by rods which are hollow or have porous cores which open into the permeate outlet. Filter can be used in membrane filtration. The membrane area installed in a vessel of given size, is greater than if tubular supports were used. As the cost is primarily dependant on vessel size this is minimised without the use of comples support designs.</p> |
