The low table has four vertical sides and a base mounted on feet (1). Its size is that of a standard bed and the table top is split longitudinally into two halves (4) hinged along the longest sides. These two halves are folded down the sides for use as a bed. Inside the base is a mattress (2) and covers, and at one end of the bed is a head rest (3) for use with a pillow. This head rest is hinged at its base and can be raised or lowered to suit the occupant. A rack provides a range of positions.
