<p>A high speed binder using a rotating flyer with binding thread packages attached to it. The winding axis of the package is parallel to the rotation axis of the flyer. The binding thread is drawn out in the direction of the winding axis and a means provides uniform back tension to the threads, which is iirrespective of the flyer rotational speed. It includes a first tensioner for imparting a back tension which decreases with increased rotational speed of the flyer and a second tensioner which increases back tension with increasing rotational flyer speed and this cancels out decreased back tension. Also a binding die that applies threads to the element in the assembly. Can be used to bind communication cables consisting of several conductor layers or for binding other types of cable including twist combinations such as SZ quading SZ paring and SZ stranding.</p> |
