The integrated circuit contains complementary bipolar transistors whose particular structure, by employing a deposited semiconductor layer, permits simple fabrication. Conductor tracks (18, 19, 20) consisting of portions of the semiconductor layer are supported on a dielectric. Other portions (13, 14, 15) of the semiconductor layer are designed at least for contacts for certain active zones of the transistors. The complementary transistors both have a vertical structure.
