<p>1472671 Conveying furnace charges BEAKTOR-BRENNELEMENT UNION GmbH 30 April 1975 [27 May 1974] 18076/75 Heading F4B An arrangement for conveying ceramic articles 4 to be treated, e.g. nuclear fuel tablets, through a continuous heating furnace comprises a plurality of support trays 31 stacked one above the other on a batt or pusher plate 1, and vertical rods 12 passing through aligned openings at the corners of the trays 31 and received in recesses in the batt or pusher plate 1. The trays 31 are spaced apart by the ceramic articles 4 to be treated and have upturned peripheral rims 31a to prevent the articles from falling off. As shown two stacks of trays 31 are provided on each batt 1, those rims 31b of the trays facing one another being turned over downwardly. The batt 1, the trays 31 and the rods 12 may all be made of the same material, e.g. molybdenum or molybdenum alloy.</p> |
