<p>Prodn. process for a point radiation source contg. radioactive iodine e.g., for bone research, comprises mixing at least one granule of activated carbon with an aqs. soln. contg. radio-active iodine, in sufficient quantity and for such a time that the radio-active carbon absorbs the desired amount of radio-active iodine. Specif., the aqs. radio-active iodine soln. is formed by the oxidation of an oxidising iodide in an acid aqs. soln. by means of an oxidising agent.</p> |
