The vertical dropper is for a bottle used for medicinal purposes etc. having a sealing ring with edge bearing against the inside of the bottle mouth, fluid outlet and air inlet passages, and a central drop ring. The sealing ring is preferably open towards the inside of the bottle. A capillary passage (8) leads from the air inlet passage (2) to the drop chamber. There can be a second capillary passage (9), leading from the sealing ring outside wall (10) to the fluid outlet passage (7), also a central drop boss (12), forming with the drop ring (5) an annular drop chamber, with the fluid outlet passage in its outside wall.
