<p>The connector for printed circuit boards has two groups of connector strips. The female part is made of sprung metal contacts on an insulating strip and the male part of fixed pins on one side of such an insulator. The design is intended to allow mounting of additional indicator components etc., without greatly increasing the overall geometry. The female section may be mounted on the P.C.B. and has, to some degree, flexibility of movement and enables the design of a particularly economical mating male part. Strain on the soldered joints is minimised by making the joint in cut-outs in the insulating strip section.</p> |
