A device for de-spooling a bobbin to receive the strip form material contained on it - esp crepe paper from which filter mouth piece sections of rod-like structure for use in the tobacco industry may be produced - operates such that the strip is continuously removed from the bobbin and fed to a filter production machine. A series of mountings or holders (1-3) come into contact with the last winding of strip material on the outer surface of the bobbin (4). The heads of reduced pressure suction channels (16,17,18) which are connected to a vacuum source (15) are fixed to the mountings (1-3) which contact the outer surface of the bobbin.
