<p>The section of fencing, with an ecompassing frame, and struts welded or otherwise connected to this, is esp. of the type where frame and struts are made of tubular ferous material, the struts being at considerable intervals apart. The object is to increase the visual screening effect, without adding significantly to weight or cost. On the front side of the fence the struts firmly hold cylindrical or prismatic units or shaped pieces, with the frame projecting beyond them. The units may be made of wood, thermoplastic or duroplastic, or other plastic or non-metallic materials, and they may be circular or square in shape. The units may be arranged in any desired pattern.</p> |
