Compensation signals are applied to the signal with correct amplitude and phase. A number of voltage trains with equal amplitudes but shifted in phase by a certain angle are derived from the mains voltage. They are separately applied to an allocated amplitude controller. - The useful signal affected by interference is tested by amplitude and phase discriminators for presence of signal components from the voltage trains. If they are present, amplitude controllers allocated to the corresponding voltage trains are adjusted so that when superposed on the useful signal interference voltages are compensated.
