The cylindrical reflector with elliptical cross section is used for a tubular lamp. The lamp is arranged on the straight focus line of the reflector and it is used for hardening of resins by ultra violet light. The materials to be radiated can be sheets moving on a straight path. The light is reflected efficiently on the material to be cured. The reflector (10,11) is curved near the lamp position at the rear of the reflector at a distance equal to lamp dia. from the lamp for reflecting light additionally past the lamp on elliptical part of the reflector. The additional reflecting can be flat and forms an angle with the plane through the focal point. The radi of curvature of additional reflection surfaces are approximately equal to the radius of the tubular lamp (2) in the region of their inner edges.
