Electronic channel selector for TV receivers - has touch:plate electrodes and only one BCD switch

The electronic channel selector, for television receivers, uses only one channel setting element, a BCD switch. The signals at the channel setting element are passed into the non-erasible memory via a selection switch or sensor circuit. A single channel is selected by means of touch-plate electrodes sensors forming part of an oscillator circuit. The frequency is compared in a phase comparator with a reference and the resulting voltage filtered and used as tuning voltage for the tuner. A ROM is used to retain the digitally coded channel setting element signal.
