The air brake circuit has a brake pedal operated control valve coupled to the control volume of a relay valve. A simple anti-blocking control is provided by a magnetic valve between the control valve (2) and a pressure control valve. The piston of the pressure control valve is balanced between the relay valve control pressed and a spring backed by partial relay valve control pressure. The pressure control valve is connected to the relay valve by a flow restriction bridged by a bypass valve. This enables the anti-blocking control to modulate the pressure rise when the brake pressure is re-applied after venting. The whole venting process is then controlled by a simple magnetic valve.
