PURPOSE:The delta phase region immediate below the solidus line temperature of the captioned cast steel is slow cooled or heated and held in that state, then the delta phase and UPSILON phase coexistence region temperature section is quenched at a specific cooling rate, whereby microscopic segregation is reduced without casuing coarsening of crystal grains. |
