<p>A camera uses a roll film perforated at picture-length intervals as a 2126279. A feeler, detecting these perforations, controls the length of the film transport, as well as latching the shutter during film transport and the transport mechanism afterwards. The film transport roller, as it turns also tensions the shutter, through gears. The shutter tensioning gear has further teeth to rotate the flash cube through 90 deg., so that it, too, is ready for the next exposure. The rotation is made via a third gear, which is missing a tooth at the points where it first comes into mesh with the shutter tensioning gear: this reduces the risk of the gears jamming.</p> |
