<p>The retaining device, for holding an i.c. engine's ignition distributor cap to the distributor's main housing, consists of e.g. two wire clips each having a crude U-shape and engaging both cap and housing. Each clip has its ends locating in holes in the wall of the main housing and hooking over an L-shaped flap forming part of the outside of the cap. The inside base of the flap is convex and fits the curvature of the clip's wire at that point. This arrangement reduces space requirements.</p> |
