Elastically:supported railway track - has supporting layers of cast hardened resin adhering to rails and rigid supports

The railway track has the rails supported via elastic layers on rigid surfaces. The layers are of elastomer material, mostly with finely divided gas-filled cells, typically of finely-divided cork. Each layer consists at least partly of cast hardened resin, adhering both to the rails and the supporting surfaces as hardening takes place. The cast elastic layer can be part of the rail track assembly, and the rigid surfaces can form the enclosing walls of chambers open at the top, filled with the material of the elastic layers, in which the rails are partly embedded.
