<p>The implement for removing an engine (27) from the body (25) of a used car to improve the separation of different types of metal for scrap recovery purposes, is a tractor (3) drawn frame (1). It has a lifting part (2) with horizontal supports (26) extending towards the car, with a tilting block (4) mounted on it, to swing about a horizontal cross spindle (5). This is operated by an arm (10) extending from the tractor. The block carries in turn a main arm (11) swung about another pivot (12) above the spindle (5), controlled by hydraulic cylinder (13). A right angled extension (17) of the main arm has a pair of extractor jaws (20) mounted on another block (18) which swings at its extremity.</p> |
