The top of (12) the can has shaped aperture (28) for pouring out the contents. This is covered by a thin plate (18) on the inside surface of the top, the plate being sealed in place. On the outside of this plate are bosses (22, 30, 34) and the whole is covered by a tab. This has holes (20, 24) providing access to the bosses. To open the can, the plate is pushed inwards, breaking the seal and venting the contents. The strip tab is pulled off, pivoting near the outer edge of the can. Raised portions (36) each side of the tab give protection against accidental opening. |
