A process for anchoring a trivalent chromium complex, in which the chromium is co-ordinated to an acryclic carboxylic acid, to solid particles having a grain size of 1 to 600 microns by mixing 5 to 20 weight parts of said particles with one weight part of an aqueous alcoholic solution of said complex and heating the mixture to dryness.
