The thermoplastics may be polyamides, polymers and copolymers of polyesters or of olefines e.g. nylon or polypropylene. The membrane may be coated with a fire retardant or may incorporate same. The membrane may be secured to the building structure by means of battens 7, may be porous or non porous and may have radiant heating systems or diffused lighting arrangements concealed behind it. Mineral fibre and insulating glass fibre quilt may be concealed behind the membrane to provide sound and heat insulation. The membrane surface may be needle punched to produce fibre tufts on the surface to absorb sound. |
