<p>Device for electroplating objects, using a sealed electrolyte tank with means to evacuate the space above the electrolyte, and with anodes and cathodes, one set being formed by the substrate. Th novelty is that the tank is divided into separate anode and cathode chambers by porous partitions which do not interfere with the electric force, and separate gas extractors are provided for each chamber which are also fitted with devices which extract the electrolyte, de-gas it and return it to the chamber. The de-gasses electrolyte is pref. fed into a reservoir used to supply the chambers. Used in the electroplating of one edge of a stack of metal sheets, when only the edge is in contact with the electrolyte, and with separate extn. of H2 and O2.</p> |
