Alkaline industrial wastes neutralisation - in tank with carbon dioxide stirrer and effluent siphon of specified design

Alkaline industrial wastes in the textile, dairy, brewery, asbestos cement, beverage, soap and paper mfg. industries are neutralised in a tank with a stirring mechanism for the introduced CO2. The effluent pipe has an inflow edge which keeps the fluid level constant. It also includes a siphon with a rising section vertically higher than the manometric gas pressure above the fluid level. Provides simple means of keeping the time of retention of the wastes in the tank constant independent of all fluctuations of the gas pressure above the fluid level. Floating scum is immediately discharged.
