[Also in Divisions D1 and H2] An implement, Fig. 3, for lacing strands (see Division H2) has a hollow handle 22 containing bobbin 36<SP>1</SP> of cord 37 rotatably mounted on bolt 34, and attached to the head of the implement is a hbok 25. The cord 37 passes through a slot 33, Fig. 4, where it is held under grip plate 26 when hand pressure is applied so as to prevent undesired release of cord from the bobbin. The grip plate has a portion 29 held transversely in slots 31 in the handle and the bolt 34 is equipped with a thrust washer 35. The cap 23 closing the end of the handle has a stud 38 with two holes 40 drilled at right-angles to one another through which the free end of cord 37 passes. |
