<p>Holes with as small a diameter as possible, e.g. five or six mms. are bored in the door or window soffit. A nut (4) is screwed onto a round-headed threaded screw (1) nearly to its head, and then a washer (3) inserted after the nut (4). A plastic socket (2) is then inserted over the end of the screw. The screw (1) is best used in assembling windows, since before being fixed, a window can be more quickly and more accurately placed in a horizontal position. If the screw has by mistake been inserted too deeply, it can be screwed out of the plastic socket placed in the bored hole.</p> |
