<p>The beadless tyre is in the form of a toroid which sits on a conventional wheel rim and which is fitted with elastic filling valves in the side. The tyre has excellent grip with no amt. of laterial force causing air loss, as in tubeless tyres. The tyre is reinforced by cords around the body of the toroid and by steel or fibre belts around the circumference, under the tread. The distribution of the belts and cords determines the shape, w.r.t the wheel rim, and the road holding.</p> |
