In a pad of carbonised sheets arranged in sets (1, 2), where the sheets are glued together at one edge of the pad, the sheets have a carbon free strip at the glue edge. Further, the bottom sheet of each set has, at the glue edge, a strip (7) of wax separating one sheet from the next set. The wax strip ensures that the glue does not penetrate between the last sheet (6) of one and the first sheet (3) of the next set. Penetration is less than between the remaining sheets, so that separation of the sets is facilitated.
