<p>The clip can be fastened to the seat belt webbing in order to give a comfortable fitting of the belt over the users' body. It is used on seat belt systems with automatic belt winding mechanisms. The clip consists of two arms hinged at one end and fitted with a clasp at the other. Between the pivot and clasp there is sufficient width for the belt. The clip has a relaxed operating position which allows the belt webbing to slide through, even when the clip is attached. By pressing the two arms together, the clamping position is established with the clip sitting firmly on the belt at any selected place. In this position, the belt winds back onto the reel only as far as the clip, when it comes to rest.</p> |
