The machine for sorting dust particles into different sizes consists of a cylindrical shell surmounted at one end by a hopper. The ungraded dust slides from the chute through the hopper into the interior of the shell. An air stream induced by the fan passes through the air straightener and blows the dust towards the outlet duct. The falling dust is separated into three grades which fall into the hoppers. A system of ducts are fitted with fans which suck air through the openings and blow it under sieves so that it returns to the interior and carries the lightest particles out through a duct around the swirl inducer and out through another duct.
