The ball-filled tube mill consists of an assembly of grinding tubes (I-IV) fitted at either end with shields (A). One of the shields is connected to the driving mechanism. Each horizontal tubular grinder is fitted on its underside with a collecting trough (1). The troughs are narrowest in the longitudinal middle of the tube, and taper with increasing diameter towards the tube ends, where they are fitted with outlet spigots (3). Hoses (4) connect the spigots of the top grinding rolls with the main collecting box (5) into which the troughs of the bottom grinding elements lead. The ground material leaves the grinding tubes via openings (6) in the bottom of the shell. The grinding tubes are also fitted with floor grates (9) made in several sections with sturdy support legs (9b) resting against the shell bottom. This prevents obstruction of the outlet (6).
|
