<p>1477634 Seal locks AARDEE SPRING & LOCK CO Ltd 27 Aug 1974 [24 Aug 1973] 40154/73 Heading E2A [Also in Division B6] A padlock seal comprises a body portion having a pair of parallel bores which receive the legs of a shackle which, once inserted, are latched permanently in place. In the form shown in Figs. 1 and 3a, the shackle bores 4, 5 are slightly intersected by an offset bore 6 in which there are spring-loaded balls 8 which are pressed back by ramps 12, 13 as the shackle is inserted, and then snap into slots 14, 15. In the form shown in Figs. 6 and 8, balls 19 which are normally restrained by sleeves 20 move out to engage locking notches under pressure from spring 16 when these sleeves are displaced by insertion of the shackle legs.</p> |
