摘要 1477123 Open-end spinning machine bobbin tube supply; winding thread W REINERS VERWALTUNGS GmbH F STAHLECKER and H STAHLECKER 29 Jan 1976 [14 Feb. 1975] 03516/76 Headings DID, D1F and D1J An open-end spinning machine with a plurality of spinning stations 1 has a moving bobbin changer device 16, wherein the bobbin tubes 17 which are inserted have a connected portion of thread whose length is sufficient for at least one thread join. In the embodiment of Fig. 1 an empty tube 17 is taken from a magazine 24 on the moving device 16 and conveyed by arm 36 to the cradle 11 of the winding unit at the spinning station. Meanwhile arm 53 takes a thread end from a package 44 in the device 16 and conveys it to the end of the tube 17 where it is gripped by the tube support. A length of thread is then wound onto the tube by the winding device under the control of an arm 38 which lifts the tube clear of the friction winding roller 9. The spinning station is also provided with a plate 41 down which the doffed full package rolls onto a removal conveyor 42. In an alternative embodiment, Figs. 17, 22, 23, the tubes are carried to the spinning stations already provided with a length of thread which is wound on at a winding station disposed at the end of the spinning machine. Attaching thread to tube, Figs. 8, 12, 14, 31. In the embodiment of Fig. 1 the thread end has to be inserted into the interior of the tube in order to be gripped by the tube carrier. This can be achieved as shown in Fig. 8 by rotating a bifurcated member 75 to accummulate turns of thread which are then inserted into the tube and pushed off the member 75 by a wiper 78. An alternative arrangement, Fig. 12, has a suction nozzle which holds the thread end and inserts it in the tube where it is ejected by a blowing jet 81. The thread end can also be attached by winding around the exterior of the tube 17 as shown in Fig. 14. Here a suction tube 83 holds the thread end but is cranked and rotated in order to wind it about the tube. Where the tube is wound with thread by a winder at the end of the spinning machine the thread end is retained by the tube carrier shown in Fig. 31. Here a catch 285 engages the thread so that as the carrier is pressed into the tube the thread is trapped between members 294 and 295. Storage of tubes and winding of thread at the end of the spinning machine, Figs. 17 and 22. As shown in Fig. 17 empty tubes are stored in a rotary magazine 124 and tubes with a thread length are stored in magazine 133 from which they are taken by the moving bobbin changer device 16. A sensor 135 detects the absence of tubes in magazine 133 and initiates the supply of a tube from magazine 124. The bobbin carrier 130 of the winding station swings downwards to pick up an empty tube and carry it up to the winding roller 128. A thread end from a package 125 is then carried by a gripper cutter 129 to the end of the tube, which is meanwhile held steady by a gripper 132 while the bobbin carrier 130 is released and re-engaged to hold the thread, see Fig. 31. Thread is first wound as a bunch 208 while held in a notch 213 of a thread guide 127 and then traversed by a groove in roller 128 which may overwind the thread end to hold the same. Gripper 132 then transfers the tube to magazine 133. Transporting tubes to spinning stations, Fig. 23. Bobbin tubes from the magazine 133 (see above) are collected in a box 261 on the moving bobbin changer device which as it moves under the magazine pushes aside a sliding lower door 146. At the spinning stations the full bobbin is doffed by being pushed onto sloping plate 235 whence it rolls onto conveyor 266. The new tube, complete with thread length, is then transferred to the cradle 229 by transfer arm 251. General. The restarting of spinning is carried out by a travelling unit which either follows the bobbin changer along the machine or is integral with the same. In the latter case the restarting unit can be displaced by one or more lengths equivalent to the distance between spinning stations to operate on a station previously serviced by the bobbin changer.
