<p>New cpds. of formula:- (where R' = acyl, R is lower alkyl, phenyl or benzyl) are prepd. by reacting 17 alpha-acyloxy-pregna-4,6-diene-3,20-dione with a mercaptan cpd. of formula RSH in the presence of a quaternary ammonium type ion exchange resin. (I) show strong corpus luteum hormone activity; they are useful as medicines.</p> |
