ROMANIAN PINK (VITIS VINIFERA SSP. SATIVA L.) VINE VARIETY

The invention describes a grape (Vitis Vinifera ssp.sativa L.) approved with the name Roz romanesc and obtained by sexual hybridization between the Bicaine and the Afuz-Ali roz varieties; it is designed for culture in the viticultural areas in the south of the country and to be used fresh for consumption or stored in frigorific warehouses over the winter. This variety has a green-yellow rosette, with bronze tint, spare hairs, average thickness cord, light tan bark, long slightly striped meritals; it has adult leaves with 3-5 lobes, sharp triangular teeth, U or V-shaped petiolar sinus and normal hermaphrodite flower. Clusters have a conical-cylindrical shape, sometimes branched, averagely compact or spare, with weight of 296 to 540 g. The grapes are medium to large in size, pink red skin, uniformly covered by pruine, semi-crisp pulp and a pleasant, clear and balanced taste, sugar content of 137 g/l and acidity of 4.7 g/l H2SO4. This variety yields average production of 23.9 t/ha.
