摘要 1334087 Breeding crustaceans COMPAGNIE GENERALE TRANATLANTIQUE 27 Nov 1970 [12 Dec 1969] 56446/70 Heading A1A A method of rearing and feeding large numbers of decapod crustaceans such Palaemonidae, especially Leander servatus comprises introducing sea water into an artificial rearing pond, adding in the pond certain elements such as Si, P, N to encourage planton development, controlling the conditions of temperature, oxygenation, lighting, salinity and agitation and then introducing into the pond three groups of marine organisms, namely plankton, copepoda and the crustaceans in either egg or initial larval stage, the copepoda thereafter being added to the pond at regular intervals. The plankton are added to the pond from the sea or from a separate pond. Eggs of Artermi salina are then added and hatch to larvae which feed on the plankton. Larvae of the crustaceans are added at or after the time of hatching of the Artemia salina egg and the conditions are such that the crustacean larvae may feed on plankton, the eggs or larvae of Artemia or on the mature Artemia. Further sea water may be added if required and further quantities of Artemia eggs are added at predetermined intervals during the crustaceans' larval life to produce food sufficient for a period equal to the larval period and a further equal period after metamorphosis. The three groups of orgnisms viz plankton, Artemia and crustaceans may be bred in the same or different ponds.
