PURPOSE:To prevent contamination of a lens and to adequately cool the lens by specifying Q and relation between Q and T at the time of using T for temp. of auxiliary gas supplied into a head and Q for slow rate of the auxiliary gas per unit area at tip part of a head nozzle. CONSTITUTION:At the time of using T ( deg.C) for temp of the auxiliary gas supplied in the head and Q (l.min<-1>.mm<-2>) for flow rate of the auxiliary gas per unit area at tip part of the head nozzle, the auxiliary gas at the temp. and flow rate satisfying the inequalities I and II on Q and the relation between Q and T, is supplied in the head to execute welding. The auxiliary gas (Ar, etc.) supplied from a gas cylinder 1 is adjusted with the temp. with a temp. adjusting device 3 after adjusting with the pressure with a pressure adjuster 2, and supplied into the head in a laser welder further through a flow rate adjuster 4. By this method, while preventing the contamination of lens caused by outer air shield and spatter, etc., with the auxiliary gas, the lens is adequately cooled regardless of the outside air temp., and the welded part having good quality can be obtd. |
