1496630 Bearings SKF COMPAGNIE D'APPLICATIONS MECHANIQUES 11 Nov 1976 [17 Dec 1975] 47041/76 Heading F2A A cage for an angular contact double row ball bearing comprises a solid central portion which extends between two concentric cylindrical surfaces 3, 4 and between two parallel planes 5 and has cells with part-spherical surfaces 6 for receiving the balls in each axially directed side, and elastic lips 2 having surfaces which form continuations of the surfaces 6, the lips projecting from the central portion axially beyond the planes 5, there being only a single lip between each adjacent pair of cells, and the central portion having adjacent the base of each lip an area which lies in one of the planes 5 (see Fig. 1) and in which the width of the area increases in both the radially inward and outward directions from a minimum in the middle of the radial thickness of the cage. The cage is moulded from plastics, and the said areas provide surfaces on which the mould ejectors can act. |
