<p>Clothes washing and drying machine comprises a drum driving motor, a heating element mounted on the inner surface of the tub, a water-cooled zone in another region of the inner surface of the tub, and a thermostat in the chamber surrounding the drum for controlling current supply to the heating element according to air temp. inside the tub. The drum rotates in one direction only during drying according to the direction from the heating element to the cooling zone. The thermostat is disposed in the chamber between the drum and tub, in front of the heating element as seen in the direction of rotation of the drum during drying.
