<p>The machine comprises a casing on wheels and at an angle to the vertical. An inclined shaft passes through the casing and has a flexible disc on its lower end. This disc runs over a back plate, also at an angle and curved so that its front edge is at floor level and its diametrically opposite edge at a higher level. A motor and chain rotate the disc. Guides constrain it to follow the contours of the back plate and bulk material in powder form is picked up from the floor and transferred to an outlet at the higher level.</p> |
