The transport system, for small articles, especially chocolates, comprises an endless transport conveyor (1) moving in a horizontal plane, with end roller guides rotating about horizontal spindles. Each section of belt is hinged at the front end, so that it may be raised through an acute angle (ALPHAe. At the upper edge of the hinge belt in the raised position is a small horizontal platform (7) to retain a small batch of goods for subsequent transfer to the packaging station. Each small horizontal platform (7) is backed by a rectangular bar (11) acting as a guard rail. In the horizontal position each belt leads to the next belt in the line.
