<p>The demountable tooth (3) and tooth-holder (4) assembly is for fitting on the cutting edge (1) of an excavator bucket. One cotter pin (42) fixes the tooth (3) to the holder (4) and a second fixes the tooth (3) to the bucket edge (1). The assembly houses and protects the bucket edge, and the tooth and holder are individually replaceable. The rear face of the tooth has a socket (6) which fits over a conical nose (7) projecting from the tooth holder, and both tooth and holder extend towards the rear in plate (25, 9) form to sandwich the bucket edge (1). The plates (25, 9) from the tooth and the holder locate below and above the bucket edge resp. The rear extremity of the tooth plate (25) fits into a horse-shoe shaped socket which is incorporated on the bucket wall (1). The cotter pins (42) may be provided through the noase (6) and the holder socket (7), and through the end of the tooth plate (25) and the bucket edge socket resp.</p> |
