Joint assembly for prefabricated panels - which is insulating, impermeable and easily fixed, esp. for refrigeration units

Joint has two profiles which fit with specially shaped panel ends to define a space which is filled with cellular material under pressure. The profiles may have folded longitudinal rebates which dovetail with recesses formed by folded ends of the external protective sheets of the panels, the parts being held in position by a transverse distance piece. Joint may have fixing recesses and an orifice for a nozzle to inject a foamable material e.g. polyurethane. The orifice and the gaps between the joint and the panels may afterwards be sealed. The joint may be fixed without tools and may be used for 90 degrees junctions. It does not conduct heat and is vapour-impermeable.
