<p>The lavatory with integral combined flushing cistern and odour extractor incorporates the extractor gear in a separate compartment (5b) of the flushing cistern (5). The pan may extend to the rear to incorporate a flush water discharge duct (8), a duct (20) leading extracted air to the fan, and a further duct (22) leading air from the fan into the waste out-let. The extracted air duct (20) joins the flush water duct (8) close to the outlet (9). The cistern (5) may be mounted on the rear pan extension and is divied into two compartments by a partition. The left hand compartment (5b) when viewed from the front may house the fan (15) and pipes (18, 19) which complete the extraction circuit. The fan (15) may be electrically powered and started by a switch (30 to 32) which is operated by raising the water closet seat (33).</p> |
