<p>The material, used for making bags for a filling machine, is in the form of a strip. This has a double thickness, to form both sides of the bag at the same time. The strip is woven loosely, having thicker longitudinal sections, joined together by the vertically woven threads. Along one outer longitudinal edge is a metal wire, woven in with the material to form a sinuous path and an electrical conductor. The bags are made by sealing transversely across the material. Any discontinuity, due to breakage or other causes, is detected to prevent wastage of the produce when filling.</p> |
