<p>The injection moulding machine of the parent patent has a compression chamber leading to a pre-plasticising zone feeding an injection chamber. In this addition the machine is converted into a capillary tube viscometer by replacing the injection nozzle with a capillary tube fitted with a measuring device. A mould may be attached to the tube. Used for laboratory measurement of viscosity of plastics under controlled conditions and properties of the mouldings produced. The machine ensures homogeneity of material, uniform temp., short residence time enabling sensitive materials to be tested, and easy cleaning.</p> |
