<p>1462204 Sheet forming BELLAPLAST GmbH 4 Feb 1974 [4 June 1974] 4977/74 Heading B5A Apparatus for forming articles from a band 14 of thermoplastics material includes means to feed it intermittently through a forming station 30, a forming tool 32 which can be applied to the band at right angles to the direction of the band, and can be rotated to deliver formed articles to a station 80, an auxiliary forming tool 41 movable towards and away from the tool 32, and other elements 52, 53 on each side of the band, the element 52 being movable in relation to the tool 32. In operation the band is pulled downwardly by grippers 26 in time sequence with the reciprocation of turret moulds 32 which are rotated by a motor 82. A motor 83 reciprocates the tool 31 via a crank 39. Waste material is recycled to the extruder 72 via a chopper 70. The tool 32 comprises four cavities, which are alternately associated with a fixed tool bearing 29 having a clamping frame 43 and the prestretching plunger 41. The articles are finally formed by compressed air and vacuum, via apassageway 81, and are ejected by air pressure onto the station 80.</p> |
